Irony To Say The Least...

Isn't it interesting to note that those fighting against proposition 8 declare themselves to be the victim of intolerance? Yet, after the majority votes were counted those left on the losing side became very intolerant of the majority. This included riots that led to violence against the LDS Church and their property. Pro Proposition 8 supporters were voicing their opinion the same way those against it were, yet only one side became violent.
Its an ironic time to be Gay. You want nothing more than the world to accept how you were born or choose to live. This includes going to the extent of intolerating those that were intolerant towards you. Sound funny? Well it is... Its not the correct way to fight or voice an opinion but might be the only way some know how. I don't think anyone has a problem with people making signs or protesting in a non violent way, in fact one of the things that is so great about this country is your ability to voice your opinion without being silenced by the government. Its when protesting is taken to the extreme of drawing up a list of names of people who donated money to a cause and then tracking down their addresses and defacing their property or destroying what they own because they don't agree with your lifestyle. Its acts such as those that are despicable and uncalled for.
The reactions of the homosexual community can only be described as, childish and intolerant. Because a vote didn't go their way they are reacting as children by throwing a fit and destroying what belongs to others. There's a way to protest and there's a way to have your voice heard. You won't get very far in this world leading a hypocritical campaign. If your march for peace, love, acceptance and tolerance ends with violence destruction and vandalism--what is your campaign really about? Its time you stop and take a glance at the actions of your supporters and fellow homosexuals and ask "Is this really how we want to be treated"? Should all those opposed to homosexuals receiving marriage follow them to their homes and places of worship and destroy their property and deface those things most important to them to prove a point? The answer is No.
America allows you to have your own opinion on things and let your voice be heard, there are limits to this however, and when you commit hate crimes against those you consider "haters" it just seems silly to me. The LDS Church doesn't Hate anyone. In fact numerous times they are quoted saying they hate the sin not the sinner. Their beliefs follow that of the bible and they believe everyone is to love each other as their brother. Their views should be allowed to be voiced by the Gays, and the Gays voices should be allowed to be heard as well. Instead you have Members of the LDS Church and other organizations now afraid to donate to causes that would ban Gay Marriage because they fear the repercussions of a violent protest. People fear that they will be singled out, lose their jobs, become the target of aggression and vandalism by the homosexual community in light of recent events.
In conclusion I just want to say that I find it hypocritical of the Gays to preach tolerance with intolerance...
